The Baronial Council
An instrument of counsel, continuity, and execution.
The Baronial Council is the governing body appointed to advise the Baron and to assist in the administration, continuity, and ceremonial life of the Noble Baronial House of Hamelin.
It exists to provide structured counsel, institutional memory, and disciplined execution in matters entrusted to it by the Baron.
The Council acts under the authority of the Baron, to whom it is subordinate in all matters.
While counsel is received and deliberation encouraged, decision-making authority remains indivisible and is exercised solely by the Baron in accordance with the Charter.
Members of the Baronial Council are appointed by the Baron and serve at his pleasure.
Appointments are made on the basis of loyalty, competence, discretion, and sustained service to the House.
The Council may include, among others, the following offices:
(Vacancies may exist; offices are not required to be filled concurrently.)
The Council assists the Baron in the execution of the Charter, the governance of Orders and distinctions, the administration of ceremonies and observances, and the maintenance of institutional records.
Council members are bound by confidentiality, restraint, and fidelity to the House.
Counsel strengthens authority when it is given with fidelity and received without judgment.
